Many fans have bemoaned that the Illuminati was not the most intelligent team featured in the MCU, and that their hubris contributed to their demise. That said, this was a group of heroes that roundly defeated their versions of Thanos and Doctor Strange, meaning that they were nothing to scoff at.
This made Wanda’s complete annihilation of the alternate reality team all that more impressive (ignoring a certain someone’s inability to keep quiet).
She effortlessly defeated the likes of Black Bolt and Mr. Fantastic and used her telepathy and reality warping abilities to subdue Captains Carter and Marvel and an alternate version of Professor X in quick succession.
Say what you will about Wanda's characterization in the Sam Raimi-directed feature, but there is no denying that the powerful witch's set pieces made for gnarly entertainment.
