20 Most Ridiculous Movie Promotional Images Ever Released
8. Top Dog (1995)
The '90s had a plethora of movies that almost seemed to suggest that nearly anybody could be a police officer. You had Lt. Frank Drebin in the Naked Gun movies and you even had an eight-year-old join the force in Cop and a Half. However, the most ridiculous premise of all came in the form of the Chuck Norris fiasco simply known as Top Dog. Written and directed by Aaron Norris (yes, there is a relation) the film stars Chuck Norris as a cop named Jake Wilder who is partnered with Reno, a police dog. Although the film was quite ridiculous on its own the promotional material featuring Norris deadpanning into the camera with his canine partner is just as silly. Also, keep in mind that this movie came out over half a decade after Turner & Hooch and K-9 (with James Belushi). So not only was it a silly idea, it was an outdated one as well.
7. Big Momma's House 2 (2006)
When Martin Lawrence threw on the obligatory fat suit and gave the world Big Momma's House in 2000 we were all somewhat amused. The movie did have its moments but nobody really thought the film was deemed worthy of a sequel. Nevertheless, despite how we all felt about it a sequel is what we indeed got. And the promotion for the film was just as ridiculous as you'd expect it to be. One of the first posters to be released was of Lawrence running on the beach in his fat suit doing his best Bo Derek impersonation; complete with cornrows and a yellow bathing suit. It really didn't help that her prosthetic nipples were quite erect. Yeah, we really didn't need to see that.
