The Film

Harrison Ford's classic 1993 adaptation of the 60s TV show The Fugitive was nominated for seven Oscars (winning Tommy Lee Jones a Best Supporting Actor statue) and is generally accepted to be one of the best-crafted genre films of the 90s.

Christina Hodson (Shut In, Bumblebee) was tapped to pen a remake back in 2015, while there's been conflicting word about either Jones or Ford returning in small roles. Nothing's set in stone, though.

Is It A Good Idea?

Not really. It's hard to imagine what a remake would really bring to the table beyond just rehashing the original with some nifty new technological updates.

Ford and Jones' grit isn't easy to replicate, and they're basically asking for trouble even attempting to get this one off the ground.
