20 Movie Sequels That Were JUST Confirmed

After Ocean's Thirteen was another reliable hit for the ensemble heist franchise back in 2007, it seemed like a mere matter of time before Ocean's 14 went into production.

Ultimately we instead got the spin-off Ocean's 8 in 2018, which was itself successful and suggested a sequel might be on the cards which united this new team with the gang from the George Clooney-led trilogy.

In addition to a prequel focused on the parents of Danny (Clooney) and Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock) that's currently in development, a potential Ocean's 14 has been brought up again and again by the cast over the years.

By early 2025 Ocean's 14 was indeed confirmed to be happening with David Leitch (Bullet Train, The Fall Guy) directing, and as of October Warner Bros. had locked in a budget with shooting set to begin sometime in 2026.

At present Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Casey Affleck, Julia Roberts, and Don Cheadle are expected to return, and other legacy cast members may be added to the roster in due course.

We've not heard a peep about the Ocean's 8 crew being ported over yet, though, so this sequel may well be ignoring it and functioning as a direct follow-up to Ocean's Thirteen.
