20 Movie Talents We Lost In 2017
10. Bill Paxton
Texas born actor Bill Paxton rose to fame in the 1980s after
landing a minor part as a blue-haired punk in James Cameron’s classic action
sci-fi The Terminator and later collaborated with Cameron again with the films
Aliens, True Lies and Titanic.
During the 1990s Paxton landed starring roles in George P. Cosmatos’ western Tombstone, Ron Howard’s Apollo 13 and tornado disaster flick Twister and received critical acclaim for his roles in dark dramas One False Move and A Simple Plan.
His two directorial outings – 2001 psychological horror Frailty and 2005 biographical sports drama The Greatest Game Ever Played – were both well received by critics while his TV acting credits included Mormon drama Big Love and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
