Though he doesn't enjoy too much screen time in Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen, Big Dave (Eddie Marsan), as referred to by Hugh Grant's Fletcher, is one of the main antagonists. Yes, it's Fletcher who tries to blackmail £20 million from the pockets of Mickey Pearson (Matthew McConaughey), but it's off the back of what was set in motion by the Editor of The Daily Print.

There were plenty of antagonists in the story, with motivations ranging from revenge for a dead son to general gang warfare and, of course, money, but Dave was different. The man had a gigantic ego, much like many of the bad guys on this list, and it was as fragile as it was large. When at a fancy shindig, Dave reached to shake the hand of Mickey, who refused.

Embarrassed at being shown up in front of the kind of crowd he was desperate to be a part of, Dave offered Fletcher £150,000 for the kind of dirt that was going to bring Mickey's life burning to the ground around him. Over a handshake. Ultimately, his interest in McConaughey's character was ended by the threat of a rather unfortunate video, including Dave himself and a sizable pig, being released.
