20 Movies Released In 2015 Guaranteed To Win Awards
12. Hail Caesar!
Release date: General release February 2016, but guaranteed to appear at 2015 film festivals. What's it about? The Coen brothers return this year with another period-set film, this time set in the 1950s Hollywood milieu similar to that in Barton Fink. Hail, Caesar! looks likely to be a different breed of movie-making satire, with George Clooney taking on the lead in a story of a film star trying to make a movie about ancient Rome. What makes it award-worthy? This is the Coen brothers so awards consideration is practically inevitable. While the general public won't see it until 2016, an early release means that it's highly likely to show up at film festivals in 2015, much like Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice did the festival rounds before seeing an early release this year.
