2. Beauty And The Beast – Emma Watson & Emma Thompson
Another Harry Potter alumni twofer, Disney’s big budget, live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast will star Emma Watson as Belle and Emma Thompson as the voice of Mrs Potts the teapot. Watson and Thompson will be joined by a talented cast that includes Dan Stevens and Luke Evans as The Beast and Gaston respectively and the voices of Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellen and Stanley Tucci.
Undoubtedly one of next year’s most anticipated movies, when its first teaser trailer was released in May this year it racked up a record-breaking 91.8 million views during its first 24 hours alone.
The movie is the latest to join the ranks of fellow Disney produced live-action remakes of its own animated classics alongside the likes of Cinderella and The Jungle Book. Disney’s original animated version of Beauty and the Beast was released back in 1991 and charmed critics, and if the hype surrounding the remake is anything to go by it could very well duplicate that success.
