20 Rotten Tomatoes Predictions For 2023's Biggest Movies

As hit-and-miss as the concept of a Barbie movie might seem, filmmaker Greta Gerwig is an extremely inspired choice to tackle this material, and most importantly, she hasn't missed yet.

Her three prior directorial efforts - Nights and Weekends, Lady Bird, and Little Women - have scored between 85% and 99% on the Tomatometer, and from both the set photos and goofy teaser trailer alone, it sure looks like she'll extend her run to four-for-four.

With the film's evidently satirical tone and pitch-perfect casting, don't be even remotely shocked if Barbie is both a major critical hit and stonking commercial success.

If anyone can make Barbie a sure-fire Oscar contender, it's Gerwig, and while there's no guarantee it'll happen, stranger things certainly have.
