20 Shamefully Bad Movies From Brilliant Actors

8. The Island - Scarlett Johansson

Pain And Gain
Warner Bros.

Scarlett Johansson graduated to the position of bona fide action star after last year's massive hit, Lucy, but one of her earlier appearances in the genre in The Island, directed by Michael Bay was a car crash of a movie.

Clumsy and dripping with distracting product placement, The Island is a confused movie that completely abandons its creepy sci-fi beginning in favour of the Michael Bay extravaganza that was so much better in Bad Boys II.

And fatally, Bay singularly failed to get anything but wood out of his leading lady.
