20 Star Trek Actors Who Died In 2021

7. Eddie Paskey - Leslie

Star Trek Leslie
CBS

Paskey appeared in more episodes of Star Trek than either George Takei or Walter Koenig, though he may not be as immediately recognizable. He was a constant bit-player, most often playing security officers, helmsmen, or other crewmen. This was to create a sense of continuity in the show, as he was in nearly every episode of the first two seasons.

He was initially more interested in working with cars, and it was to this profession he returned after a back and head injury caused him to retire from the show in the third season. He remained working with automobiles until 2004 when he and his wife sold their business. He had admitted to wanting to go back to acting, but his time on Star Trek had cost him many contacts in Hollywood.

He remained a fan of the films, though he described 'going to sleep' on the Next Generation. He has received the honour of a fan-made Mego action figure. He passed away August 17, 2021, at 81 years of age.
