20 Summer 2018 Films You Aren't Excited About (But Should Be)

10. Christopher Robin

American Pastoral Ewan McGregor
Lionsgate

No, this isn't a re-release of 2017's AA Milne biopic Goodbye Christopher Robin; it's the latest live-action reimagining of one of Disney's animated classics. Ewan McGregor takes the title role as Winnie the Pooh's owner, all grown up and losing his imagination - when all of sudden, he finds himself reunited with the animals of the Hundred Acre Wood.

Admittedly the premise sounds rather a lot like Hook, which not all of us would necessarily consider a good thing; but with Beauty and the Beast co-star and recent Golden Globe winner McGregor in the title role, there's definite cause for optimism.

Hayley Atwell co-stars, while Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace, World War Z) directs.

Release: 3rd August US, 17th August UK

Ben Bussey hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
