20 Summer 2018 Films You Aren't Excited About (But Should Be)
1. The Little Stranger
Director Lenny Abrahamson is established as a force to be reckoned with after oddball comedy drama Frank, and Brie Larson Oscar-winner Room. Now, he heads into supernatural territory with this adaptation of the 1940s-set novel by Sarah Waters.
Domhnall Gleeson stars as a doctor who comes to the aid of a resident in a spooky old house which, wouldn't you know it, turns out to be home to more than just the living. Sounds like a vintage-style frightfest not too far removed from The Woman in Black.
Ruth Wilson, Will Poulter and Charlotte Rampling co-star.
Release: 31st August US, no UK date announced yet.
