Terminator: 20 Easter Eggs And References You Must See
14. Arnie References Kindergarten Cop In T-2
Between Terminator films, Arnold Schwarzenegger's career took a bit of an odd turn. After starring in a handful of R-rated action flicks he began his run of broad comedy turns with Kindergarten Cop, which is about as far as it's possible to get from the likes of Conan The Barbarian. In fact the actor was insistent that T-2 be as violent as the first film. The second Conan film, after all, had had the violence toned down thanks to studio meddling. So he wasn't quite fully into his nice cuddly Twins/Junior phase when he made Judgement Day, but he made sure everyone was aware of his burgeoning comedy career: the line I need a vacation is repeated from Kindergarten Cop, and was an intentional, scripted reference.
