20 Terrible Movies That Do NOT Deserve Their Fresh Rotten Tomatoes Scores

13. Diamonds Are Forever

Score: 63% (Average Score: 6.10/10)

Consensus: Diamonds are Forever is a largely derivative affair, but it's still pretty entertaining nonetheless, thanks to great stunts, witty dialogue, and the presence of Sean Connery.

Diamonds are Forever is overwhelmingly viewed as one of the worst Bond films, and that's a more than deserved status, but from this score, you'd never have known.

With its terrible acting, bland plot and fatal, film-killing combo of groan-inducing comedy and unacceptably dull action, this is a would-be thriller that's as cringe-worthy as it is astoundingly dull. Thanks to the existence of movies like Die Another Day and A View to a Kill (which thankfully have the rotten scores they deserve), this isn't the worst Bond film to date, but it's well up there and it might just be the most tedious of the lot.

Also, that critics consensus is so misrepresentative of the movie it's actually quite hilarious. Any particularly memorable stunts are few and far in-between, the film's comedy is awful, and Sean Connery, who was obviously only there for the paycheck, completely phones it in as Bond.

Considering that Diamonds are Forever is so widely disliked, and considering that far better Bond films such as Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough have rotten scores on the site, this is one score that will never make any sense.

Deserved Score: 20-40%.
