20 Things You Didn't Know About Batman & Robin

10. It Wasn't Arnold Schwarzenegger's First Appearance In A Batman Movie

Arnold Schwarzenegger's turn as Mr. Freeze has gone down in infamy as one of the cheesiest and most ham-fisted villainous performances in the history of comic book movies, but it technically wasn't his first appearance in the Batman franchise.

In Batman Returns, a photo can be seen in Max Shrek's office of Christopher Walken's nefarious businessman with his arms around the Austrian Oak, which opens up a ton of questions given that the recurring appearances of Michael Gough's Alfred and Pat Hingle's Commissioner Gordon indicates that all four movies in the original series take place in the original timeline.

Technically Arnold Schwarzenegger exists in the Batman universe, so why did nobody notice that noted molecular biologist Victor Fries bears a striking resemblance in both stature and accent to one of the most famous people on the planet, who has apparently visited Gotham City before?

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
