20 Things You Didn't Know About Psycho

15. Anthony Perkins Refused To Talk About The Movie For Years After Its Release

There's no denying that Anthony Perkins will forever be best associated with the part of murderous motel owner Norman Bates, to the extent that he was actually typecast in the years that followed Psycho's release, struggling to win many dashing leading man roles as a result.

This led to Perkins refusing to talk about the role for years afterwards, frustrated by the association between himself and such a high-profile character.

However, in later years he confirmed that he would've accepted the part even if he knew it'd make him typecast, and of course, Perkins ended up reprising the role in the three sequels released from 1983 to 1990.
