20 Things You Didn't Know About The Rocky Horror Picture Show

11. Filming The Motorcycle Scene Was A Nightmare

The unforgettable sequence where Eddie (Meat Loaf) makes his entrance on a motorcycle was, unsurprisingly, one of the movie's toughest scenes to film.

The bulk of the sequence was shot with a stuntman, which is probably just as well, given that the stuntman ended up crashing the bike and becoming pinned underneath it, requiring Meat Loaf to lift it off of him.

Close-up shots were however achieved by attaching a motorcycle facade to a wheelchair and pushing Meat Loaf around in it, which resulted in its own close call when the wheelchair crashed, sending Meat Loaf to the floor while breaking the camera and facade.

Meat Loaf ended up with a deep cut on his head, while the stuntman fractured his leg as he attempted to catch the performer.
