20 Things You Somehow Missed In Captain America: Civil War

10. Straight Out Of The Comics

Another of the previously unseen duos brought together by Captain America: Civil War was the combination of Clint Barton and Scott Lang. More on how they first met later, but during the battle they figured out a very unique method of working together.

Namely, Scott shrank down and held on damn tight to one of Clint’s arrows. When Hawkeye fired, Ant-Man was able to land on Iron Man, infiltrate his armour, and begin to disable a few systems and weapons before being flushed out.

This was an incredibly cool addition to the fight, but it actually came straight off the pages of the comics. Though the MCU is an adaptation of the Marvel Comics Universe, and has been known to take plenty of creative liberties over the years, when the time comes for a scene to be pulled directly from the pages, they are usually nailed.

Way back in 1982, Avengers #223 released, and gracing the cover was Hawkeye, arrow nocked and drawn with a tiny Ant-Man clinging on. What a fantastic bit of inspiration, brought to life so perfectly on the big screen.
