6. Perfectly Balanced

This is something that only becomes relevant to Civil War after Avengers: Infinity War, but is still something that you likely wouldn’t have noticed upon any rewatches. It all has to do with Thanos, and everything being perfectly balanced.

This was what the Mad Titan wanted. He ultimately snapped his fingers and rid the world of half the entire population. This created a divide in the universe, between those that survived the snap, and those that didn’t.

Captain America: Civil War had already split the Avengers down the middle, as well as adding a few ringers onto each team. Team Iron Man was made up of Tony, Rhodey, Natasha, Vision, T’Challa, and Peter, while Team Cap was Steve, Bucky, Clint, Wanda, Sam, and Scott. Six vs six.

Once Thanos snapped his fingers, each team of six was then split down the middle again, between those that survived Thanos, and those that died at his hand. Vision, T’Challa, and Peter died while Tony, Rhodey, and Natasha lived, as Sam, Wanda, and Bucky were survived by Steve, Clint, and Scott. Perfectly balanced indeed.
