Like most films in the industry, Gravity did not start out with its leads in tow. Due to its lengthy pre-production process, various thespians were considered for the 2013 sci-fi epic, and some of the choices were far removed from the eventual choices of Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.
The stars considered for the motion picture ranged from Angelina Jolie, Marion Cotillard, Rebecca Hall, and Robert Downey Jr was considered for the male lead before leaving and being replaced with Clooney.
