As mentioned before, Gravity's 2014 awards sweep was one for the history books, especially due to its run at that year's Oscars. However, its presence at another prolific awards ceremony earned it a spot in film trivia games everywhere.

Gravity was the first movie to tie for Best Picture at the 25th Producers Guild Awards, alongside Steve McQueen's harrowing 12 Years A Slave. The award - also known as the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures - being given out to these two films was seen as an indicator for the then-upcoming Oscars.

This turned out to be true, as the space drama won the most awards and the tragic period piece won Best Picture and the much-coveted Best Supporting Actress and Best Adapted Screenplay.
