20 Things You Somehow Missed In Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones
6. There's Not A Single Practical Clone Trooper On Show
It's easy to forget just how ahead of his time George Lucas most definitely was when it came to utilising the ground-breaking tool of computer generated imagery.
And while his over-reliance on digitally crafting the various alien species, unusual locales, and various set-pieces seen in this entry of his galaxy far, far away still divides fans to this day, most would happily admit that the forging of his titular Clone army using almost only said method of computerised creation is still a hugely impressive feat to this day.
This is all according to animation director Rob Coleman who has gone on record to confess that not a single Clone trooper was physically fully crafted for the shoot, with each and every Jango duplicate on-screen being realised thanks to a combination of Industrial Light & Magic employees strutting around in Clone helmets and the occasional set of footwear for motion capture purposes and the technological CGI whizzes doing the rest.
