With the sheer amount of attention being paid to ensuring the state of the arts visual effects were on point and the story being told was one able to grip and captivate the masses for years to come, a few unfortunate mistakes elsewhere were always likely to wiggle into the Episode III end product.

Most notably, on two separate occasions, it appears the person in charge with continuity and/or props on set dropped the ball a touch when it came to a thrilling lightsaber duel.

First up, when Palpatine is seen battling away with Mace Windu and a number of other Jedi Masters upon being uncovered as the Dark Lord of the Sith, the diabolical villain's lightsaber switches from his own distinct variation of the weapon to Anakin Skywalker's unmistakable hilt. This was likely due to the fact a scene depicting Palps taking up Anakin's weapon in the battle was later changed up, but the shot in question was still left in the end product.

Elsewhere, as Anakin and Obi-Wan duel on Mustafar, another bizarre saber swap goes down as the former attempts to impale the latter with his own blade before it then appearing to be Skywalker's weapon doing the attempted scorching.
