20 Things You Somehow Missed In The Big Lebowski

5. An Ever-Changing Limp

When playing a character with a limp, it's important to keep in mind which leg is the one you're supposed to be favoring. John Goodman seems to struggle with this throughout The Big Lebowski, often switching Walter's limp from his left leg to his right leg and back again from scene to scene.

The Coen brothers are notorious for insisting the actors adhere exactly to what's written in the script, so it's surprising a goof like this was able to get past their strict standards. Goodman once noted that the directors won't even allow for them to ad-lib jokes, so you'd think they'd insist on one specific leg for him to limp with.
