8. Thomas Lennon's Returning Nolan Doctor

Acting as yet another piece of connective tissue to some of Christopher Nolan's past work, in the mind of the thespian involved at least, Thomas Lennon's character of Doctor seen not recommending Bruce Wayne go "heli-skating" in Rises may have felt a tad familiar for fans of 2000's Memento.

That's because Lennon also took on the role of a Doctor in that flick, too, a fact that was definitely not lost on the actor himself, with the Memento talent noting later down the road:

"Basically, I guess - I kinda of think it's the same character from 'Memento.' The doctor who's testing Sammy Jankis in that movie."

And while Lennon would also admit that "whether or not that's true is probably for Nolan to say," a director as meticulous as Nolan likely doesn't do anything by chance...
