20 Things You Somehow Missed In Thor: Ragnarok

Sizzle reels are especially important in the early stages of filmmaking, and the MCU is no different. Usually, directors would use previs images to convey what they intend to do in an upcoming project but Taika Waititi decided to take a rather unusual route for this endeavour.

While developing Ragnarok, the filmmaker created his sizzle reel for Marvel Studios using pirated movies. He used clips from various movies to give the studio higher-ups a feel of what the threequel would be like and somehow none of them (seemingly) knew about until he revealed this around the movie's release.

Piracy is often seen as an inconvenience to those in the film industry, so it is interesting to see it be an integral part of a project as big as Thor: Ragnarok.
