In the wake of the steaming cinematic turds that were Alien vs Predator and its sequel, people finally began to wake up and realize that Predator 2 is a truly underrated gem. Critically panned on release and a box office disappointment to boot, Stephen Hopkins' follow-up is a worthy successor to the classic original.

While it may lack the larger-than-life presence of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers or Jesse Ventura it would be fair to say that Danny Glover, Bill Paxton and Gary Busey are more than capable replacements.

Transporting the action to the concrete jungle (I see what they did there) of Los Angeles is another smart move as it opens up a whole realm of new and different possibilities for the action scenes, with the Glover vs Predator scrap in a hidden underground spaceship as fantastic as it is ridiculous.
