20 Upcoming Movies That Made INSANE Casting Choices
4. Glenn Close - Drusilla Sickle (The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping)
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is already in the running for the best-cast movie of 2026 - the ensemble for this thing is just stupid-good, and though you might not even recognise her in the trailer, the inimitable Glenn Close is indeed among the roster.
Eight-time Oscar nominee Close is playing Drusilla Sickle, a chaperone for the District 12 tributes whose face is quite literally held in place by tacks attached to the skin, which combined with a generally overpowering hair and makeup job, makes Close damn-near unrecognisable.
But from the little we've seen of her here it sure seems like she's having a blast, and it's simply a real treat that Close is still cooking up wild, adventurous performances like this well into her late seventies.
Unlikely though it is, wouldn't it be absolutely hilarious if this bonkers performance is the one that finally won her an Oscar? We can only hope.
