20 Worst DCEU Movie Moments (So Far)

12. The Criminal Waste Of Ciaran Hinds - Justice League

Man of Steel Dumb
Warner Bros.

Justice League is nowhere near as bad as many say it is and is actually an entertaining and reasonably engaging, albeit undemanding and under-fed, superhero movie that stands as arguably one of the most underrated superhero films of the decade.

Of course, it's got a fair few problems though. Among the most glaring is Steppenwolf, who is not only an astonishingly dull villain without a semblance of personality, but is also a terrible waste of Ciaran Hinds, who is normally extremely reliable.

This one basically applies to whenever Steppenwolf appears, for he really does undermine an otherwise enjoyable spectacle and makes the first big-budget Justice League movie feel less epic than it should've done. For such a significant superhero film (in that it brings together this team for the first time) there needed to be a truly powerful villain for the team to face off against, like the Avengers had with Loki. Unfortunately, that wasn't provided here.
