20 Worst Movies Of 2018

12. Death Wish

Death Wish Bruce Willis
MGM

Hardly anyone was calling for a remake of cult classic Charles Bronson thriller Death Wish (which kicked off a series of five movies), but that's never stopped Hollywood before. And the money men seem similarly unperturbed by the frequency with which Bruce Willis now dials in performances. That can be the only reason this film was even considered.

Willis has a big chance of a return to form with Glass next year, but he's had a difficult time recently with three 0% movies on Rotten Tomatoes in two years. Two of those came this year, but neither were as bad as Death Wish, because this one has the burden of justification against it.

In the end, it's just a pointless, unimaginative rehash that fails to justify its existence and both director Eli Roth and Willis are well above it, which the latter seems to acknowledge by simply sleepwalking through it.
