20 Wild Theories For Upcoming Movies

Granted, this can only barely be called a fan theory at this point, but it's looking increasingly likely that Godzilla x Kong: Supernova's big villain will be none other than SpaceGodzilla.

Beyond the film's sub-title suggesting a celestial element to the story, last November the Writers Guild of America West published a listing for the film which mentioned that the script was based on the IP "Space Godzilla" as owned by Toho.

SpaceGodzila was first introduced in the 1994 film Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla as a crystalline clone of Godzilla, who was created after some of Godzilla's cells were cast into a black hole, exposed to radiation, and then re-emerged from a white hole. 

While we haven't had any formal confirmation from the production yet that SpaceGodzilla will appear in the new film, it'd be incredibly surprising if it didn't with so much compelling evidence.

If nothing else, SpaceGodzilla would certainly be an epic threat worthy of the entities we've seen Godzilla and Kong do battle with in the previous MonsterVerse movies.
