21 Things Horror Movies Ruined For Every One

11. The Woods

Notable offenders: The Blair Witch Project (1999), Wrong Turn (2003), Hatchet (2006) It's hard to believe that there was once a time when it wasn't necessarily a big deal to walk through the woods at night. Well, thanks to horror movies and horror movie villains such as Jason Voorhees we can now safely say that unless you're Grizzly Adams you should stay far away from any wooded area once the sun goes down. If you let the horror genre tell it, when you step foot in the woods you're less likely to get harmed by poison ivy, a bear or harsh weather conditions and more than likely to take a machete to the forehead. So, unless you're a professional forester (a person who practices the science, art, and profession of managing forests), just stay out of the woods altogether.
