2. Stephen Fry Reminds Everyone They're Going To Die
Fry ends the night on an unexpectedly somber speech about how nobody can avoid death, and how more people seem to be dying with each passing year as he grows older. He then adds that cinema "shakes a fist at death" as it lives on when we don't, before declaring that he's going to "hasten own demise by eating and drinking like a wild, reveling warthog." At least there was a joke at the end, but still, this was pretty much just a downer on which to end the night for the TV audience. At least the celebrities went out and partied afterwards to try and forget that, yes, they're going to die one day too. Thanks for that, Stephen...
