Next up is the BAFTA Rising Star Award, as presented by last year's winner, Jack O'Connell. Ah, remember him? O'Connell had an incredible 2014 (hence the award), appearing in '71, 300: Rise of an Empire and Unbroken, such that many expected him to become an A-list star overnight. 2015 was total radio silence for the actor, though, and while he has a number of promising projects lined up for 2016, it's pretty surprising that he didn't strike while the iron was hot and keep the momentum going. Still, you can't blame the guy for wanting a break if that was the case. This year's Rising Star Award ultimately (and unsurprisingly) went to John Boyega, who was a class act as ever.
