The Pitch... The second most famous bear in literature gets his own adaptation, mixing live action with CGI and a cast including Brit favourites like Colin Firth, Peter Capaldi, Hugh Bonneville and Julie Walters, as well as Nicole Kidman. Terribly English (even if he's from Peru,) and terribly charming, no doubt. Plus Points One for the nostalgics, but with a supremely talented cast to make it important to new audiences. Paddington is a classic of children's literature for a reason. The Reservations... Director Paul King is better known as the man behind the camera of The Mighty Boosh (possibly the oddest comedy property in modern British history,) so there's every chance there could be some unwelcome oddness in there.
