The Pitch... Kermit the Frog is implicated in an international crime caper, pulled off by dastardly doppelgänger Constantine, while the Muppets travel the world on a major global tour. Plus Points The Muppets killed it when they came back, even if the aggressive marketing campaign wore a little thin in the end, so a sequel was always going to be an attractive prospect, even without Jason Segel returning. We can expect the same humour - ramped up with the addition of Modern Family's Ty Burrell and Ricky Gervais. The Reservations... The Muppet Movie worked precisely because it was so self-referential, and everything so far seems to suggest this is a straighter Muppet caper movie. Plus Ricky Gervais' scrapped cameo in the first movie was excruciating.
