24 Shots That Completely Ruined The Tone Of Classic Movie Moments

18. Les Miserables

Les Miserables Do we really need to see Fantine and Jean Valjean goofing around on set, smiling and clearly not riddled with ye olde world diseases that somehow accelerate death so quickly that you're a happy, functioning member of society one minute, and the next you're a bald, toothless prostitute with some sort of fatal, undiagnosed uber-STD? No. The key is in the title of the film - the actors should have been miserable for the entire shoot. That's called method: had Daniel Day Lewis been cast, he wouldn't have been caught dead drinking coffee on set, he'd have been out there in the real world actually catching diseases.

17. Jaws

Jaws Now, everyone knows Bruce the shark was fake. He was notoriously temperamental, ruining shots and extending production, and there's a heaving mass of behind the scenes photos that further confirms that he was basically a giant bath toy. But, that still doesn't mean we need to see shots like this, where it all but confirms that the shark that was single-finnedly responsible for millions of people fearing the sea, and the slightest touch of something unnerving under the surface (usually sea-weed) was no more than a slightly comical prop.
