25 Greatest Film Trailers From The 2000s

7. Up in the Air (2009)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nA9Q_hEDne8 I love that Jason Reitman decided to make this entire trailer a speech at a seminar. It helps that the speech is very well written by Reitman and performed by George Clooney. As Clooney talks about family and traveling, we see glimpses of his lonely life, punctuated by occasional visits from family and other detached acquaintances. Basically this teaser is the thesis of the movie, and what a great thesis it is. I've watched it multiple times, many more when writing this article, and it is one well done trailer.

6. Where the Wild Things Are (2009)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdvIcHDh9No I've already written about Where the Wild Things Are elsewhere, but this is a beautiful trailer. From the opening shots of Max waking up onward, this is a two minutes of stunning images. I love the choice of text, I love the Arcade Fire song, and I love everything about this trailer. Spike Jonze made a wonderful film but also made a wonderful trailer.

Jeremy Sollie hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
