25 Most Hotly Anticipated Movies Of Winter 2016 - Ranked

21. Bleed For This

Winter 2016
Open Road Films

Release Date: November 18th

Billed As: Another boxing biopic based on the life of Vinny Paz, star of the greatest boxing comeback of all time. Martin Scorsese's executive producing too, so you're guaranteed a worthy stamp of approval.

Hype: Hands Of Stone should have been the other great boxing biopic of 2016, but that turned out to be something of a glossy bust, so it now falls to Boiler Room director Ben Younger (who has lost his way since that 2000 debut) to win the title with Bleed For This.

He has a great story to work with: Vinny Paz is like Rocky on steroids. He was almost killed and almost paralysed by a car accident that doctor's said might end his walking days let alone his in-ring career. He ignored them, worked out while wearing a halo brace and went on to win his belt back against the odds and the threat of his head falling off. Unbelievable really.

In Miles Teller, he has a great leading man and the supporting cast is solid too, so let's hope this one can deliver the right blows.
