18. Green Goblin (Spider-Man)
Despite the fact that the Green Goblin was the first villain Spider-Man had to face in Sam Raimi's epic trilogy, he is actually the most powerful and most versatile villain overall. The metallic green armour he wore granted the maniacal Norman Osborn enhanced physical strength - to the extent that he could beat up Spider-Man - and a large degree of physical protection and durability. Osborn also rode a very cool "Goblin-Glider" which enabled him to fly around very quickly and gave him great manoeuvrability and mobility. The costume as a whole also housed a series of weapons, such as concealed blades capable of cutting through flesh and Pumpkin Bombs which exploded on impact and caused great damage. He is both a threat in close-combat and from range, which makes him a very powerful and dangerous foe for the webbed wonder.
