18. Police State (Seth Gilliam)
2017 sees the return of Sean Young to sci-fi after her iconic role in Blade Runner and as part of a huge slate of B-grade (and below) releases that tell a story of her industry decline. But in amongst those release, politically charged sci-fi Police State looks like an interesting one.
The story apparently centres on unraveling a potential nationwide terrorist plot after a series of bombings begin to cripple Manhattan, and features time travel as heroes from the future travel back to try and save the day.
In amongst the cast, Seth Gilliam will play one of the Police States actual police, and while little is known of the role, it definitely sounds like a nice genre addition that would otherwise probably fly under the radar entirely.
