25 Shocking CGI Movie Moments That Left You Speechless
18. Henry Cavill's Moustache - Justice League
Though it has its own army of loyal defenders, the DCEU was a mess from start to finish, and after spanning a decade from Man of Steel (2013) to Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023), there are very few things looked back on in a positive way.
What almost became the poster child for the mess that was this franchise, and in particular 2017's Justice League, was a certain shot involving Henry Cavill's Superman. Production was effected greatly by the tragic circumstances with which Zack Snyder had to step away, as Joss Whedon came in and reshot much of the film.
The results of such a shift in tone are clear from the final picture, but one issue that should have been relatively simple to overcome was Henry Cavill's moustache. When he returned for reshoots, he was sporting the facial hair he grew to play August Walker in Mission: Impossible - Fallout, which in theory, should have been removed with ease.
Chris Evans returned to the set of The Avengers with a beard that was covered up in the Shawarma post-credit scene by a combination of a plastic mask and the actor's hand, but Whedon decided to put Cavill front and center at the very beginning of the film, with no place to hide the shoddy job made of portraying Kal-El as clean-shaven.
