12. Escaping Back To Hogwarts With Cedric Diggory's Body
It took everyone a very long time to notice that Cedric Diggory was not moving. The cup was not supposed to be a Portkey and yet none of the teachers found it strange that that was how they arrived in front of the crowds. With the music blaring and everyone cheering the end of the tournament, Cedric's death is made so much more dramatic by just how long it takes for everyone to realise that something is wrong. Harry is clinging to his friend's lifeless body, sobbing his heart out and having just witnessed Voldemort for the first time in his human form, he isn't exactly feeling like the winner of the tournament. Voldemort's decision to kill Cedric, an innocent whom he had never met before, emphasises his love for chaos and it is Diggory's death that showed viewers just how dark things were going to get.
