In his early 20's, martial artist and wushu champion Jet Li achieved much acclaim in China acting in such films as Shaolin Temple and the Once Upon A Time in China series, in which he portrayed folk hero Wong Fei-hung. Li was a huge superstar in his homeland. So when the actor decided to make his move to Hollywood, the guy had a few options. One of the first American roles that Li was offered was the role of Deacon Frost in 1998's vampire epic Blade. Frost was, of course, an upstart vampire leader who emerges as Blade's main opposition. Li turned down the role to play the villain in Lethal Weapon 4 and the role of Frost went to Stephen Dorff. With that being said; it would have been pretty awesome to see Jet Li and Wesley Snipes go toe to toe onscreen, both in their prime. What a missed opportunity.
