10. Chen Zhen Vs. General Fujita - Fist Of Legend (1994)
This may be controversial, being a remake of Bruce Lees Fist Of Fury (aka The Chinese Connection), however, there is a strong case to be made that Fist Of Legend simply has much better fight scenes than its predecessor. Sure Lees version is a better film and far more iconic but Jet Lis collaboration with choreographer Yuen Wo Ping makes for some insanely good duels that are hard to top. Set in 1937 during the Second Sino-Japanese War, Li plays Chen Zhen, a Chinese martial artist who returns to Shanghai to find his teacher dead and his school harassed by the Japanese. When Zhen ultimately confronts Imperial Japanese Army General G Fujita (Billy Chow), all hell breaks loose. The film's director, Gordon Chan, intentionally made the sets with low ceilings to restrict the amount of wire work that Yuen Wo Ping could use, forcing him to choreograph more grounded scenes. This truly spectacular cinematic battle was the end result. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-pg-3MYYKo
