30 Horror Movie Survivors Who Probably Wished They'd Died

M. Night Shyamalan's underrated supernatural thriller Old sees a group of people become stuck on a beach where they rapidly age. As it turns out late in the movie, a pharmaceutical company is using the beach to test their products, allowing them to see years of progress over just a few hours. 

It's a deliciously nasty premise that's mostly well-executed, and in the end, only Trent and Maddox, who arrived on the beach with their parents, escape alive. They also manage to expose the company's crimes, and this is all presented as a reasonably upbeat conclusion. Well, it is, but only if one doesn't stop to reflect on what happened to Trent and Maddox. 

It's great that, thanks to them, no one else will suffer the same terrible fates, but they arrived on the beach as young children and are now adults in their 40s or 50s. They've lost half their lives, with no apparent way to reverse this, and their parents also died on the beach, so it's difficult to imagine them having any sort of happy existence moving forward.
