Who's Involved: Channing Tatum has been cast as the title character, and legendary X-Men comic writer Chris Claremont wrote the treatment, which is being adapted into a screenplay by Joshua Zetumer (last year's RoboCop reboot). What's It About: A spin-off from the X-Men franchise, presumably revolving around the origin story of everyone's favourite card-throwing mutant, who has been conspicuous by his absence in the X-Men movies to date (and no, don't count his appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine). Why We Should Care: Because he's one of the comic's fan favourites, and if they get it right, then the X-Men series is about to get a mega dose of awesome. When's It Due: October 7, 2016.
