This sequel to the well-received but not hugely successful Maze Runner from last year picks up the story of the Gladers after their escape from the Maze.

They now face a new set of challenges on the open roads of a world ravaged by solar flares and disease. Gillen has joined the sequel as the Rat Man, a research scientist who offers them the first challenge: a slight but important role, and perfectly suited to Gillen's immediately distrustful demeanour.
