John Aniston had a long and distinguished career in both television and theatre. He was born Yannis Anastassakis, and emigrated with his family from the Greek island of Crete when he was two years old. In the United States, he would appear in literally thousands of episodes of television, right up until his death.

He appeared in the Star Trek: Voyager episode Workforce, playing the Quarren Ambassador. He would be best known for his role as Victor Kiriakis on Days Of Our Lives, in which he appeared from 1985 until his passing.

He was the father of Jennifer Aniston, and also made appearances in The West Wing, Gilmore Girls, and Mad Men.

He died at age 89.
